DS Flooring Solutions was established in July 2024 when the incumbent management team acquired the flooring division from Claude Hooper Interiors, which had been in operation for over 40 years.
We are a nationwide supply and fit flooring contractor and do a mixture of residential and commercial projects. We work with national housebuilders on the residential side specialising on new build only and fitting carpet, carpet tiles, vinyl (flat lay & cap and cove) and LVT. We have done work with builders like Redrow and Bloor Homes.
On the commercial side of things, we work across commercial property, hospitality, leisure, and healthcare. The team has expert knowledge and experience dealing with office refurbishments, full hotel fit-outs, care homes plus student accommodation and has worked with national hotel chains, blue-chip companies, well known hospitality brands as well as smaller independent projects. We pride ourselves on delivering projects on time to meet the demands of the customer and ensuring the highest quality of finish every time.

Alan Taylor
Managing Director
Alan has worked in the flooring trade for 47 years, with 25 of these spent on the tools. He has spent 15 years as the Managing Director of flooring at Claude Hooper before it became DS Flooring Solutions. Alan has extensive experience across fitting, estimating & planning, opening and closely managing key accounts with the national housebuilders.
Danny Deehan
Director
With 20+ years in flooring, Danny started as an apprentice and gained experience across domestic, commercial, and marine sectors. He spent seven years as a Project Manager before acquiring Claude Hooper Interiors Flooring Operations with John. 
John Slaughter
Director
John has 15+ years in finance, spanning venture capital, corporate finance, family offices, and a CFO role in logistics-tech. He has advised, invested in, and directed businesses across e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, finance, and tech.
Andy Chavner
Project Manager
With 27 years in flooring, Andy specialises in the New Build sector, mastering everything from warehouse operations to planning, ordering, and project management. His deep expertise makes him a go-to authority in the field.
Adam Simpson

With extensive experience in commercial flooring, Adam specialises in hospitality and care homes. He has managed blue-chip client accounts with precision, prioritising transparency and client needs to ensure seamless project execution.
